Aadhaar card: hiccups in Nanganallur, Ullagaram and Puzhuthivakkam too

Published - May 16, 2015 08:55 pm IST

In Nanganallur, Ullagaram and Puzhuthivakkam, residents are unable to go for the bio-metric process, even after obtaining the NPR forms. “After submission of NPR forms at the enrolment centres in zonal offices, we are supposed to be called on a particular day and handed over the slip mentioning the date for the bio-metric process. But, we are yet to receive any call or SMS,” residents said. Also, if the finger prints or iris images of those who have enrolled for the biometric process are hazy, they are asked to re-enrol for the bio-metric process.

“People are unaware of the date of the camps enabling re-enrolment for the biometric process , as there is no proper announcement,” the residents complained. Next, the residents do not know when they will get the Aadhaar card. They don’t know how they will get the card either. Whether by speed post or by courier. Whether it could be downloaded through E-Aadhaar. The residents feel that clear-cut instructions on obtaining the Aadhaar card, registering under the DBTL scheme, and linking it with voter ID, should be given soon.
