Thoongavanam , starring Kamal Haasan, is a milestone project for Trisha. It is her fiftieth film and marks her completion of 15 years in the industry.
“It’s a huge honour for anyone to work with Kamal and for me, it’s happened two times,” said Trisha at the trailer launch of the film. The actress had earlier teamed up with the Ulaganayagan on Manmadhan Ambu .
She added, “There was one particular challenging portion during shoot – I cannot reveal what at the moment – that I could have never done without the help of Kamal sir. Also, I couldn’t have dubbed for the movie without his assistance.”
The film, directed by Rajesh M Selva, is said to be the remake of French movie Sleepless Night . It will also be released in Telugu as Cheekati Raajyam .
