The All India Students' Association held a protest demanding the roll back of the new four-year undergraduate programme in Delhi University.
The “Reject FYUP Reclaim DU” campaign has been going on ever since the AISA held a referendum on August 22, in which around 91 per cent students voted against the course.
“The students have got more than 6,000 postcards signed by first-year students addressed to the Vice- Chancellor, along with a memorandum to the Dean Students' Welfare to be given to the V-C. We are demanding that the FYUP be scrapped or revised in open consultation with protesting students and teachers,” said Sunny, a member of AISA.
The protest started from the Arts Faculty, went to many colleges in the North Campus and then wound up in front of the Arts Faculty.
