Special fare trains to Chennai

The Southern Railway will operate special fare special trains to Chennai from Tirunelveli and Madurai (Via Chord Line)

Tirunelveli-Egmore

Train No.06026 Tirunelveli-Chennai Egmore special fare special train will leave Tirunelveli at 5 p.m. on July 12 and reach Chennai Egmore at 5.20 a.m. the next day.

AC 2-tier – one, AC 3-tier – three, sleeper class – 13, general second class – two and luggage-cum-brake van – two coaches.

Kovilpatti, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Tiruchi, Villupuram, Chengalpattu, Tambaram and Mambalam, a statement said.

Madurai-Egmore

Train No.06020 Madurai-Chennai Egmore special fare special train will leave Madurai at 10.00 a.m. on July 15 and reach Chennai Egmore at 6.50 p.m. the same day.

Train No.06019 Chennai Egmore- Madurai special fare special train will leave Chennai Egmore at 06.15 hrs. on July 18, 2016 and reach Madurai at 15.00 hrs. the same day, the statement said.

AC 2-tier – 1, AC 3-tier – 2, Sleeper Class – 12 & Luggage-cum-brake van – 2 coaches.

Kodaikkanal Road, Dindigul, Manapparai, Tiruchi, Srirangam, Lalgudi, Ariyalur, Vriddhachalam, Villupuram, Tindivanam, Melmaruvathur, Chengalpattu, Tambaram and Mambalam. Reservations for the above trains are open.

One shift

The computerised passenger reservation centres in Madurai Division of Southern Railway will function for only one shift, similar to Sunday pattern of working (8 a.m. to 2 p.m.), on July 7, Thursday, on account of Ramzan, according to a statement.
