Anakapalle MP presents wish list

Anakapalle MP Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao met Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu in Delhi on Wednesday and submitted a memorandum to him seeking stoppages to over half-a-dozen express trains at Anakapalle Railway Station besides some other railway issues pertaining to his constituency.

He sought stoppage of 12863/64 Howrah-Yesvantapur, 18509/10 Nanded – Visakhapatnam Express, 18310/18309 Nanded-Sambalpur, 18048/47 Amaravathi Express, 18567/18566 Visakhapatnam-Kollam and 12842/12841 Coromandal Express at Anakapalle Railway Station. He also sought stoppage of Janmabhoomi and Ratnachal Express trains at Elamanchili Station. The other proposals put forth by Mr. Srinivasa Rao include: laying a new railway line from Tuni to Kottavalasa via Narsipatnam, Chodavaram and Madulgula, running of MEMU trains between Visakhapatnam and Rajahmundry and opening of passenger reservation counters at Chodavaram, Madugula and Narsipatnam.

Mr. Srinivasa Rao said that the Railway Minister had responded favourably to the issues and agreed to resolve them at the earliest.
