`Kanche' team savouring the success

Not only they made a sudden appearance before the movie buffs, but also interacted with audience at a theatre in Visakhapatnam.

For those watching the evening show ‘Kanche’ at V-Max theatre, actors Varun Tej and Pragya Jaiswal along with filmmaker Krish sprung a surprise on the audience on Monday.

Not only they made a sudden appearance before the movie buffs, but also interacted with them for a while and said that the period film was winning accolades from across the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Speaking to The Hindu about the film’s success, Krish says, “ Kanche is one of my ambitious projects which got wrapped up in 55 days with a budget of about Rs.18 crore. The response for the period film is overwhelming and I am extremely happy that people are open to such genres these days.”

The team in the port city as part of the itinerary marked to celebrate the success of the film. The trio will soon visit theatres located in Vizianagaram, Kakinada, Rajahmundry, Guntur and Vijayawada. “Krish and myself were supposed to work earlier for my first film. However, it did not work out for reasons unknown. But, I am excited that my role in Kanche is being accepted so well,” said Varun Tej, hero of the film.

Donning a shimmery green dress with elaborate gold brocade, pretty-looking Pragya Jaiswal also interacted with the audience.

After talking to the audience in the theatre, Krish said: “Surprisingly, most people are watching the movie for the second time and women said they liked the story that dealt with a different era.”
