A finishing school for young graduates

Updated - March 18, 2015 05:33 am IST - BENGALURU:

The Indian Development Foundation, a Mumbai-based voluntary organisation, here on Monday launched its centre of excellence focussing on making youth employable.

The centre will be like a finishing school for graduates, provide skill development training and improve their employability factor, it said.

IDF’s CEO Narayan B. Iyer said this year, they plan to train 10,000 students countrywide; many retired faculty members from IITs, IIMs would guide them. An Employability Quotient Programme proposed to be run at the centre will bridge the gap of their employability, said Y. S. Rajan, Distinguished Scientist, Department of Space.
