Police resorted to mild lathi charge to disperse ABVP members after they tried to barge into Amnesty office in Indira Nagar on Friday. They were later detained.

Few activists were injured in the melee.

Over 100 ABVP members gathered at the Amnesty office demanding ban on the Amnesty International and tried to lock out the office. Heated arguments ensued and protestors crossed the barricaded area and tried to barge in.

The members said protest would continue till the office we as shut down. A woman activist Veena collapsed and was rushed to the hospital.

Amnesty management had earlier asked the staff to work from home.
