BSNL allows free calls, SMS for seven days

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited(BSNL) has announced free calling and messaging services on account of the Chennai flood to its customers.

In an official statement, BSNL announced that prepaid customers can make free voice calls and SMS from December 2 for the next seven days. They are also entitled to 100 MB of free internet data.

The offer comes on a day when services of many private cellular operators crashed either due to power failure or network congestion.

For postpaid mobile users, a rental rebate of 7 days and an extension of billing cycle by 15 days has been offered.

Landline and Broadband customers have been offered free local and STD Voice calls for 7 days from December 2 and free data of 100 mb.
