Dalit student body opposes foreign varsities

The Bahujan Students Front on Friday resolved to oppose the efforts of the Union and State governments to privatise education.

Briefing the media on resolutions adopted by the newly-elected BSF district committee on Friday, its president Puli Malyadri and general secretary M. Karunakar feared that SCs, STs and OBCs would get a raw deal in higher education by such move.

Other elected office-bearers included B. Balu Yadav, K.V.Krishna, M.Ashok (all vice-presidents), B.Ravindra, P.Naveen (both joint secretaries) and B. Siva Krishna (treasurer).
