Plea to resolve demands of Budaga Jangams

Published - February 17, 2018 12:30 am IST - Anantapur

The YSRCP on Friday demanded that the State government resolve the long pending demands of the Budaga Jangam community.

Former Anantapur MP Ananta Venkatrami Reddy released a poster on the proposed stir of the Budaga Jangam community.

As part of their action plan, State leaders from the Budaga Jangam community will stage demonstration opposite Guntur collectorate on Feb 20 and also launch indefinite hunger strike.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu should fulfil the promises he made to all communities in the State before the last elections, said Mr Venkatrami Reddy.

“During elections Mr. Naidu promised to accord SC status and extend other benefits to Budaga Jangam community. Though the TDP government tenure is nearing completion not a single promise has been implemented,” alleged Visvesvar Reddy, YSRCP legislator from Uravakonda, who also participated in the programme.
