Satish Soni takes over as ENC chief

There is an increasing threat to our assets in harbour from our enemies who are not visible making it important for every sailor and officer to be on their guard at all times, Vice Admiral Satish Soni said while taking over as Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief Eastern Naval Command here on Monday.

In the changed threat scenario operators from minor enemy nations too hold a threat, he said underscoring the importance of information security. He was addressing the flag officers, officers and sailors at the INS Circars after assuming charge of the Eastern Naval Command.

Vice Admiral Soni inspected the Ceremonial Guard and reviewed platoons of Naval personnel drawn from various ships and establishments of the Eastern Naval Command.

The parade was commanded by Commander Ranjit Kumar Singh, electrical officer of INS Satpura and comprised 24 platoons.
