Former MLA Parimala Nagappa joins BJP

Former MLA Parimala Nagappa joined the BJP at a rally held in M.M. Hills in Chamarajanagar near here on Thursday.

Ms. Nagappa, wife of former Minister H. Nagappa, who was abducted by forest bandit Veerappan and killed, was welcomed into the partyfold by former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa.

Ms. Nagappa, who represented Hanur Assembly constituency, joined the BJP with several supporters from different parts of the constituency.

Her entry into the BJP comes ahead of the bypolls to Gundlupet Assembly constituency in Chamarajanagar district.
