S.A. Raman assumed charge as Collector of Vellore district on Sunday. Hitherto, he was the Joint Commissioner of Land Administration, Chennai.
Mr. Raman has earlier held positions as Deputy Secretary at the Chief Minister’s Office, General Manager (administration), Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation and also as Joint Managing Director of Aavin.
He said that Vellore is a developing district, and promised to take up projects to enable the district to become a developed one. He said he would take immediate action on the petitions that he received from the public. He promised to reach the welfare measures to the people, a press release said.
