To clear the extra rush of passengers during the summer season, the Southern Railway will operate special trains in the Yesvantpur – Ernakulam section via Salem, Erode, Tirupur and Coimbatore.
Train No. 01667 Yesvantpur – Ernakulam special train will be operated on Saturdays on April 25 and May 2 and train No. 01668 Ernakulam – Yesvantpur train will be operated on April 26.
The Yesvantpur – Ernakulam special will depart from Yesvantpur at 11.30 p.m.; Salem 4.05 a.m. the next day; Erode 5.05 a.m.; Tirupur 5.50 a.m.; Coimbatore 7.15 a.m. and will reach Ernakulam 12.05 p.m.
The Ernakulam – Yesvantpur special will leave Ernakulam at 2.55 p.m.; Coimbatore 7.45 p.m.; Tirupur 8.30 p.m.; Erode 9.35 p.m.; Salem 10.35 p.m. and will reach Yesvantpur at 3.30 a.m. on the next day.
The Southern Railway will also operate a premium special train in the Ernakulam – Yesvantpur section via Coimbatore on May 3.
Train No. 02658 will depart from Ernakulam at 2.55 p.m. and Coimbatore at 7.45 p.m. and will reach Yesvantpur at 3.30 a.m. the next day.
The train will stop at Thrissur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Bangarapet and Krishnarajapuram, according to a press release of the Salem Railway Division issued here on Tuesday.
