Asia-Pacific junior golf: Aditi, Feroz in limelight

India’s Aditi Ashok produced a fine round of three-under 69 to jump into the lead in the girls’ A & B categories at the end of the third round of the Asia-Pacific junior golf championship at the RCGC here on Saturday. The Bangalore-based girl was on 144 after two rounds.

Aditi’s effort also put India ‘B’ ahead in the team standing with a total of 294.

India’s Feroz Singh Garewal carded two-under par 70 to jump to the third position in the boys sections. Overnight leader Suradit Yongcharoenchai led the field at level-par 216, three strokes ahead of the second-placed Viraj Madappa.

The India ‘A’ team of Manu Gandas and Viraj Madappa enhanced its lead to five shots with the Thailand ‘B’ team lying second.
