14 injured in grenade attack
SRINAGAR, MARCH 3. Fourteen persons were wounded when militants
today made an abortive attempt to target a police party in Kulgam
town in south Kashmir by detonating a grenade, police said. The
militants threw a grenade towards a team of Special Operations
Group (SOG) of local police near the Kulgam bus stand. The
grenade missed the target and exploded on the road injuring 14
pedestrians.
This is the second such incident in the same area during the past
three days. On February 28, in a grenade attack four SOG
personnel and a CRPF jawan were injured.
