P.G. entrance results out

By Our Staff Reporter

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, JULY 18. The results of all candidates who had appeared for the entrance examination for admission to the various post- graduate medical courses (degree/ diploma), Kerala, 2001, have been published.

As many as 2,302 candidates had appeared at the examination held at seven venues in the State on June 3, 2001. There are 186 seats in 22 specialities, in the five medical colleges under the State Government.

Soon after the entrance examination, an expert committee was constituted to go into the correctness of questions, appropriateness of distracters and suitability of answer keys. As per the recommendations of this expert committee, a few questions were deleted from the valuation process. However, all the candidates who had appeared for the examination will get full credit for the deleted questions, informed the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.

The rank order lists of candidates in the general merit, Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and ex-servicemen categories will be available for reference in all the District Information Centres and in all the medical colleges in the State.

The inclusion of a candidate in the list does not entitle him/her for admission to the course, unless the rules regarding eligibility for admission, as laid down in the prospectus issued by the Director of Medical education, are satisfied.

Admission to the various courses and allotment of seats in the different colleges will be made by the Director of Medical Education, Kerala, in the order of rank and the subjects opted for by the candidates, at the time of personal appearance.

Candidates desirous of obtaining their mark list should apply to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, before August 30.
