Looking for a great career in IT and have a thousand questions bothering you? Then the programme organised by MindTree might just provide the answers
|
MINDTREE CONSULTING, an international IT services company, has launched a programme for IT professionals in Bangalore. The three-month programme, which is a "personalised assistance to IT professionals who are looking to build a successful career" is said to be the first of its kind.
All those aspiring for a great career in IT can look forward to an interesting session that includes lectures and "Ping Me" helpdesk. The latter will answer personal questions from IT professionals, say the organisers.
The lecture will cover seven core issues prevalent in the minds of an IT professional. The topics that will be covered are as follows: Nine key factors behind a successful technical career; transitioning to mid-level positions: key issues and challenges; life after 40 as an IT professional; working as teams; how do I build a work-life balance?; the product-service conundrum: how does it affect my career?; and how do I manage adversities?
Subroto Bagchi, MindTree's Chief Operating Officer, will be one of the persons who will be involved in the lecture series. "Our experience tells us that an average IT professional carries with him/her several career questions that remain unanswered; sometimes, these lead to wrong career moves. Addressing their questions through a neutral platform will help IT professionals see the issues in proper perspective," said Mr. Bagchi.
These lectures will be held every alternate Saturday from July 10 at 4 p.m.. The lectures are free and open to all IT professionals, who can simply walk into any one of the venues and talk with the senior managers of MindTree on any topics related to IT. The lectures will be held at the Auditorium at St. Joseph's College of Commerce, Brigade Road.
The "Ping Me" helpdesk will be available at five select Café Coffee Day outlets across Bangalore. These sessions, held on alternate Sundays, commence on July 17 between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m..
