Three diamond jewellery showrooms have been launched in the city. A report

ZIMSON, WATCH retailers since 1948, is adding more products to its range and has now made its foray into designer jewellery with international brands that make 18K diamond jewellery such as D'damas, Kiah, Nirvana, Sparkles and Adora.
Zimson has inaugurated shop `n' shop jewellery boutiques at T. Nagar and Spencer Plaza, Phase III. The showrooms are stocked with international brands of designer jewellery chosen to cater to the taste of Indian women. The selection comprises trendy yet traditional jewellery such as pendants, finger rings, earrings, nose rings, necklaces and bracelets.
Starfire selection
Jaipur Gems on Cathedral Road has opened `Starfire', a diamond boutique, where one can leisurely look at its in-house brand of Starfire diamonds, which are among the top two per cent of Belgium cut diamonds. The Starfire diamonds are cut in patterns of hearts and arrows that results in 97 per cent reflection of white light giving the diamonds optimum sparkle. These diamonds are exclusively of D and E colour grades.
K for Kiah
Kiah's first diamond showroom in South India was inaugurated by Khusboo at Shop No. 121, Usman Road, T. Nagar.
`Kiah' (an Australian aboriginal term meaning `from a beautiful place') is celebrating womanhood with diamonds — be they studs, pendants or necklaces.
The prices range from Rs. 4,000 to Rs. 8,00,000. Kiah is the retail brand of Sheetal Creations, manufacturer of polished diamonds.
After Chennai, the company hopes to open showrooms in Hyderabad and Bangalore. By the end of the year, Kiah will be retailed in 70 shops across the country.
