Krishnanagar is a parliamentary constituency in WestBengal state comprising of 7 assembly segments Tehatta,Krishnanagar Uttar,Krishnanagar Dakshin,Palashipara,Kaliganj,Nakashipara,Chapra. Voters will decide the fate of the candidates contesting in Krishnanagar, which goes to poll on 13th May 2024 and counting of votes will be held on June 4th . Mahua Moitra from AITC won the parliamentary elections in 2019 with a winning margin of 4.63% . Mahua Moitra defeated Kalyan Chaubey from BJP . AITC and BJP polled a vote share of 45% and 40.37% respectively. In 2014 Tapas Paul belonging to AITC won the elections, while in 2009 ,Krishnanagar constituency choose Tapas Paul from AITC. The voter turnout in 2019 , 2014 and 2009 was 83.75% , 84.5 % and 85.5% repectively.
