Too big for his boots
Stories are raging about how a certain Shahid Kapur with a hit-and-a-half is tormenting debutant director Parmeet Sethi on the sets of the YashRaj film “Badmaash Company”. He has enough and more inputs for everything from camera to shot execution and, worse, refuses to take directions from Parmeet. The last we heard, he flatly vetoed Parmeet’s idea of wearing a white vest for a shot citing that he was toning down for another role. Now we know that YashRaj has gone grossly wrong with its choice of directors in the recent past but Shahid’s highhandedness is simply not acceptable.
Brand game
In the brand game, Sonam Kapoor is slowly edging out the others. She is still waiting for a whole lot of movies and not one has been a hit, but Sonam is steadily climbing up the popularity charts. She was signed up as brand ambassador for Spice Telecom last week, a mantle donned by Kat Kaif and Priyanka Chopra earlier. Tough times call for tough measures girls. What’s up your sleeves?
A firm no
Priyanka Chopra has done what no other actress would have possibly even thought of. The girl has let go of a Hollywood project by director Tarsem Singh titled Dawn of War for Vishal Bharadwaj’s Saat Khoon Maaf thanks to clashing dates. Tarsem, who has directed The Fall and The Cell, was keen to work with Priyanka but had to settle for Freida Pinto opposite Brit actor Henry Cavill. Hope that’s a good career move Priyanka.
