Thee Kulikkum Pachay Maram

What it is about…

Millennium Visual Media presents Thee Kulikkum Pachay Maram, directed by M. Vineesh and M. Prabeesh. The dialogues are by K. Goutham, the songs are composed by Jithan Roshan, and the re-recording is by Arunagiri. With cinematography by Madhu Ambat, lyrics by Raji, dances choreographed by Shivasankar, stunts taken care of by ‘Mirattal’ Selvam, editing by Rajalakshmi, story and screenplay by M. Vineesh, the story is topical, revolving around a student taking his own life. Director Ameer released the first CD and music director and actor Vijay Antony received it.

Music highlights

The album has four numbers — ‘Dinamum’ sung by the music director himself, ‘Kaddaikalile’ sung by Yasin and Madhumitha R., based on the raga Reethigowla, Narivaruthu’ sung by Varsharanjith which is sure to appeal to kids, and the foot-tapping ‘Toputakkaru’ sung by Murugan and Al Rufiyan. Both ‘Toputakkaru’ and ‘Narivaruthu’ feature again as karaoke tracks.

What they say…

Directors M. Vineesh and M. Prabeesh: We are into advertising and have done 60 commercials and three documentaries, which bagged eight Kerala State awards. The story was first shot as a short film, but director Samuthirakani who happened to see it, told us that it should be made into a full-length feature film in Malayalam and Tamil. That’s how we started working on the screenplay for the Tamil film. It is ready and we are sure of its success.

Hero Prajan: Besides being an anchor on Sun TV, I was a model and did advertisement films. I acted in two Malayalam films — Tournament and Thriller . Satish, who is associate director of this film, invited me to Kerala to audition for the role. The film has come out well and I am now doing lead roles in two more Tamil films — Pazhaiya Vannarapettai and Manal Nagaram .

Music director Jithan Roshan: I play the violin and the viola. I have worked on half a dozen jingles and composed the title songs for half-a-dozen serials, which were aired on various channels. I have my own band named JRD and have worked as a violinist for Ilaiyaraja and other music directors. I have been receiving appreciation for my efforts in Thee Kullikum … from several quarters.
