Much-needed makeover

Dilip Kumar and Jahnavi plays the protagonists.

Kovai calling

Malai Kallan “The last film that made here was Sivaji Ganesan's Naan Petha Selvam . That was 48 years ago. Siruvani is a love story and a crime thriller. It is based on a story by Rajesh Kumar, who crime novels have wide readership,” says Ragunath. Sanjay (Thandava Kone) and Iswari play the lead. “Interestingly, most of the old structures are still standing in the Pakshiraja Studios and it gives me a sense of nostalgia and belonging to launch Coimbatore as a centre for film production,” says adds Ragunath.

Back to school
