Cartoonist Keshav says: The Indian general elections are near and the BJP and Congress are the main rival national parties. The ruling Congress is grappling with corruption scandals and the lack of a powerful leader. Though the BJP looks comparatively more confident, they have been struck by a series of cases of fighting within the party. For example, senior leaders like LK Advani and Jaswant Singh had to give up the constituencies they wanted. This in-fighting in the BJP (symbol: lotus), depicted as a boxing match in the cartoon, may be giving the Congress (symbol: hand) leaders some hope in an otherwise bleak scenario for them.
