Soon after it was launched at the Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party headquarters at Pandit Pant Marg, the 3D video ‘rath’ that was unveiled by senior BJP leaders on Monday did the rounds of Central Delhi playing its part in election campaigning.
Painted in the party’s colour, the ‘rath’ was flagged off by Delhi BJP chief ministerial candidate Harsh Vardhan, Delhi BJP chief Vijay Goel and Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly V.K. Malhotra.
With pictures of BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, Dr. Vardhan and other senior leaders on it, the ‘rath’ will spread the party’s messages in all Assembly constituencies.
Mr. Goel accused the Congress government of neglecting the development of villages in Delhi.
“The villages of Delhi are still being governed by laws made more than a hundred years ago. The Congress government has done nothing except paying customary lip service. The people in these villages are still struggling for basic amenities like schools, hospitals, railway reservation counters, water and power supply, road transport and even toilets,” Mr. Goel added.
