Annapurna Studios, which dished out several major family storylines laced with oodles of sentiment and emotions on silver screen, has been successful in recreating the same aura on the small screen too.

The production house, which has to its credit a host of such major movie hits right from ‘Premabhishekam’ to the recent ‘Manam’, also has a family drama ‘Sasirekha Parinayam’ going strong on Maa TV these days. Telecast from Monday to Friday at 9 p.m., the serial has already completed 170 episodes and as the production team says, it has been running successfully and has a lot more in store.

Conceived, conceptualised and set against the backdrop of Telugu tradition and culture, the serial makes all the efforts to stay close to being realistic and explore the finer nuances of relations between different characters. The strain that two families suffer due to growing distances between them and how small errors of understanding cast a long shadow on their relationships form part of the narrative.

A collection of fresh and experienced acting talent adds to the success and has Prathap and Meghana playing the lead ably supported by Priya, Prabhakar and Dubbing Janaki. ‘Sasirekha Parinayam’ is directed by K. Venugopal and has Saibabu as executive producer.
