They say a picture is worth a 1,000 words and this is what one would feel when he or she visits the L&T Metro Rail Metro Chronicles Thru the Lenz photo exhibition, which was inaugurated here at the Muse Art Gallery, Marriott Hotel & Convention Centre, on Sunday evening.
About 100 photographs were displayed which gave viewers an idea about the different stages of the Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) project’s foundation, work-in-progress, and also about various other works being taken up at different localities in Hyderabad.

The photos were taken by professional photographers from the city, and the objective behind organising the exhibition is to give the next generation of citizens an idea about how the project was taken up.
“All the photographs will be displayed permanently at the Metro museum, which will be established in the city shortly,” said V.B. Gadgil, Chief Executive and M.D., L&T Metro Rail (Hyd. Ltd).
About the progress of the HMR project, Mr. Gadgil mentioned that works are being taken up at a brisk pace.

He added that four kilometres of railway track has been laid on the Nagole-Mettuguda route.
“This apart, 85 percent of electrification of the Nagole depot has been completed,” he said.
First coach by MayThe first three-coach train will be arriving in Hyderabad in April-end or first week of May, after which trial runs will be conducted immediately, informed Mr. Gadgil. N.V.S. Reddy, Managing Director of the HMR, and Jayesh Ranjan, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC), also spoke on the occasion.
