Members of the Osmania University Joint Action Committee (OUJAC) met Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy and sought permission for a ‘Student March’ on September 27 from Arts College to the Konda Laxman Bapuji Ghat on Tank Bund.

OUJAC representative Manne Krishank said that they would take out a peaceful rally on September 27 as announced earlier, as it also coincided with the birth anniversary of Konda Laxman Bapuji.

In the memorandum submitted to the Home Minister, the students assured the authorities that there would be no violence if permission was given for the March.
