For sportsmen and walkers of Saroornagar Indoor Stadium, Monday came as a pleasant surprise when an NGO, parents of badminton trainees and the Sports Authority of Telangana (SAT) joined hands to set up an Reverse Osmosis (RO) water purifier plant.

It was a long pending demand of players, who will now have access to quality drinking water at the stadium, thanks to Bhagyanagar Vysya Youth Association, Sports Authority of Telangana and parents of the badminton players.

SAT vice-chairman and MD Dinakar Babu, on Monday inaugurated the plant and complimented the NGO and the parents of players, who came forward for the cause.

Speaking on the occasion, representatives of Bhagyanagar Vysya Youth Association thanked Mr. Dinakar Babu, who not only cleared the proposal at a go but also promised to stand by their side in taking up more such initiatives for players at the stadium. While the RO water purifier was donated by the NGO, parents of badminton trainees helped in construction of the facility.

Badminton coach Bhaskar Babu appreciated the efforts of the parents as also SAT for providing the facility and hoped that the authorities would ensure its maintenance. Harinath Chigulapalli, Veerabomma, Rahul Erramshetty of Bhagyanagar Vysya Youth Association and others were present.
