Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday laid the foundation stone for building a modern Integrated Command and Control Centre and City Police Headquarters on a seven-acre site at Banjara Hills in the City.
The State Government has allocated Rs.302 crore for construction of the building. “The amount will be insufficient for constructing the magnificent building and equipping it with latest technology. Another Rs.700 crore will be sanctioned for the purpose in the next budget,” the Chief Minister said. He assured the police that the twin tower building will be constructed in the shortest possible time.
Two floors in the building will be allocated to various government departments. “In times of crises or disaster different department personnel will be here to make a coordinated effort,” Mr. Rao said.
