Swachh internship begins

GHMC launched its ‘Swachh Internship’ programme on Saturday, at Brahmakumaris auditorium in Gachibowli.

Commissioner, GHMC, B. Janardhan Reddy launching the programme, and said a total of 1,800 people have registered themselves for the programme. The interns will participate in sanitation programmes, which include waste segregation, management of transfer stations, Jawahar Nagar dump yard, cleaning up of lakes, plastic ban, Haritha Haram and others.

They will have to donate five hours of their weekend for the programme, he said. GHMC will award participation certificates to the participants and use their services in sanitation programmes, plastic control and Haritha Haram programmes, Mr. Reddy said.
