In his latest blogpost, actor Mohanlal has showered praise on Transport Commissioner Rishi Raj Singh for his efforts in rendering traffic on Kerala’s roads safe and systematic.

Real-life hero

The hand-written post, titled, ‘Rishi Raj Singh: You are the real Superstar’, has the affable actor getting candid, saying while he and other stars portrayed several well-meaning, austere and resolute characters on screen, Mr. Singh played the real hero in life by being so.

‘End of anarchy’

Mr. Mohanlal rues the anarchy that prevailed on Kerala’s roads prior to the arrival of Mr. Singh, who made possible what appeared to be unattainable by a single officer.

Prayers answered

“He came as a saviour of lives as a result of our collective prayers,” writes the actor, commending the officer for strictly enforcing anti-speeding measures and helmet for two-wheeler riders.

He compares Mr. Singh to E. Sreedharan, the former iconic head of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).

Need role models

He adds these two worth-emulating officials have demonstrated that the country can indeed be made liveable and better with more such officials.

The post is concluded with an expression of solidarity on behalf of every Malayali.
