The Madurai Ladies Circle No. 8 (MLC 8) in association with Indian Association for Blind (IAB) has planned to organise a rally named – ‘Insight car rally… you drive, visually impaired navigates,’ in the city on February 7.
According to the organisers, the unique rally would be on the lines of a professional rally with a route map in Braille.
The volunteers of the IAB would guide the participant drivers. The visually challenged navigators would be excited to guide a visually abled person.

Moreover, the participants (drivers) would be encouraged to join the rally with their family members as it would give an opportunity to the visually challenged (navigators) to be part of a family bonding as well as a good learning experience for the children.
The funds raised from the project would be utilised for ‘educate to enlighten’ project.
The Ladies Circle India had so far contributed around Rs.3 crore for developing educational infrastructure and providing aid to underprivileged children in which over 25,000 children had been benefitted across the country.
