Mom’s Net, a facility for new and expecting mothers, was rolled out by Infosys on Friday at its Thiruvananthapuram Development Centre (DC).
To provide a comfortable environment, Mom’s Net has beds and sofa sets for mothers to rest during the day. Desktops have been arranged at the facility to offer them easy access to mails and flexibility to work at their comfort.
The facility is in addition to the existing provision of lactation rooms. The facility has also been furbished with calligraphy notes and posters to accentuate the overall ambience.
Complying with Maternity Benefit Act, Mom’s Net is an extension of the existing dormitory with advanced amenities for new and expecting mothers.
The new facility is part of a national network of centres that has been set up with an objective to encourage expecting and new mothers, by offering them a conducive environment and infrastructure to return to work.
Regular sessions
Regular sessions with senior leadership, training and talent teams have been arranged for new mothers to keep them abreast of new technologies and equip them with skills required for upcoming projects. In addition to this, mothers will also have access to the Infosys app ‘Sapphire’ that helps them stay connected, relevant and inspired, and Lex, the company’s online training platform that provides access to Infosys’ courses.
Mom’s Net was inaugurated by Satish H. C, Executive Vice President, Head Global Services, Infosys.
