Tumbbad for midnight screening

A midnight screening of the fantasy horror film Tumbbad will be one of the highlights of the 23rd International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK).

The film, which portrays the cycle of greed, was premiered in the critics’ week section of the 75th Venice International Film Festival, becoming the first Indian film to be screened there.

The historical period fantasy is directed by Rahi Anil Barve and Adesh Prasad. Tumbbad received critical acclaim for being the kind of horror film that plays with one’s mind, and instils the fear of the uncertain and the unknown.

Tumbbad will be screened at Nishagandhi at 12 a.m. on December 8. The Midnight Screening section was introduced last year at the IFFK.
