Lawyers formed a human chain here on Wednesday condemning the Director General of Police for refusing to meet a group of lawyers in Chennai recently when they came to present a memorandum to him and allegedly insulting them.
They also demanded action against jail officials of Tiruchi for allegedly assaulting two lawyers on the jail premises recently.
Several advocates took part in the human chain in front of the Combined Court Complex.
