IIM-Tiruchi completes final placements

The Indian Institute of Management, Tiruchi, has completed final placement for post graduate programme in management batch of 2017-19 with the highest annual compensation offered being ₹35.15 lakh and average package being ₹14.9 lakh.

There has been an increase in the average annual compensation by 4.42% compared to previous year. The average annual compensation of the top 10 percentile increased by 22.86% whereas that of the top 25 percentile increased by 13.3%. There has been a 100% increase in domestic offers which have an annual compensation above ₹30 lakhs and a 44% increase in the annual compensation above ₹20 lakhs in the overall offers this year. In line with the emerging trends in the industry, notable roles offered across domains included business, financial and risk analysis, product management, brand management and consulting.

All the 170 students (of the total 172 in the batch) who had registered for placement accepted the offers. This year the institute witnessed participation from 94 companies. This included regular recruiters such as JP Morgan Chase, Deloitte, L&T, Cognizant, ICICI Bank, Avalon Consulting, HCL, TAFE, ValueLabs, GMR Group and UltraTech Cement and new ones such as Shell, Amazon, GAIL,Zenoti, KPMG, Ernst&Young,Nilkamal, IDFC Bank and Ujjivan Financial Services. Recruiters offered coveted profiles across various domains such as finance, sales and marketing, consulting and analytics, general management and operations.

“Since inception, IIM-Tiruchi has been constantly growing. The diversity in roles offered and increase in average CTC show the pragmatic pedagogy at the institute. This also shows the continuous hard work of both students and faculty to stay abreast of the industry changes,” said Bhimaraya Metri, Director, IIM-Tiruchi, in a press release.

We also invest a lot by providing our students training and exposure in current industry trends and a holistic course structure.”
