Nine injured in jallikattu

Nine persons were injured in the jallikattu organised at Keela Vegupatti village in the district on Friday. As many as 644 bulls were released during the event in which a total number of 160 tamers participated. Seven among the injured were treated as out-patients at the venue and the remaining two injured were referred to the Government Hospital, Ponnamaravathy, said police sources.
