In the true spirit of welfare of its members Steel Executives Association of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant have come forward to provide immediate relief to the next of kin of their colleague who died in harness.
The SEA, affiliated to Steel Executive Federation of India (SEFI), was established in 1985 to promote the welfare of the officers of the Vizag Steel Plant.
It has been playing a key role in the evolution of the plant as a world class steel making facility by fostering a common spirit of enthusiasm and devotion towards work among officers.

Main among the activities taken up by the SEA is the benevolent scheme under which a significant amount is handed to the nominees of the deceased officers.
On Sunday night cheques of Rs 5 lakh each were handed over by General Manager Finance T.V.S. Krishnakumar to the nominees of DM Projects (CO&CCP) Tishar Vibhuti and JO (Medical) Gonna Rajani.
The GM appreciated the gesture of the SEA in extending support to the dependents of their departed colleagues. He assured the family members of their deceased colleagues of all support in the event of their requiring any help.

The benevolent scheme was being implemented by the association since three decades,
SEA general secretary M. Srinivas said and reiterated that welfare of the executives was the prime objective of the association.
SEA vice-president M.N.V.S. Prakash, joint secretary K.S.S. Chandra Rao and executive members K.V. Ramana, S Sambasiv Rao and Satyanarayana, and others promised to extend all support to the members of the families of fellow officers.
