The Andhra Pradesh Government is proactively following up on the post-Hudhud restoration works, with APIIC Chairman P. Krishnaiah, accompanied by IT Advisor J Satyanarayana, meeting top honchos of IT, ITeS companies here on Tuesday discussed the way forward to promote Brand Vizag and the State as an IT destination.
They took inputs on the issues being faced by the IT companies and promised to get them redressed.
The IT Advisor said he would propose to the Government to establish a calamity-proof facility to help ensure business continuity of IT companies. The Government is studying ways of ensuring all-weather connectivity to critical sectors like Healthcare and IT companies which work 24x7, Mr. Krishnaiah told The Hindu .
Mr. Krishnaiah went around the industrial estates in the district. Power has been restored to all the industrial estates in the city, except for Gurrampalem that is in a predominantly rural area, he said. In Parawada, power has not been restored to 10 units pending technical validation, he added.
He is holding a meeting with Internet service providers to get them to resolve the issue of stable bandwidth connectivity to the IT units. He is also meeting with insurance companies to address the issues holding up resolution of claims.
