Eight school buses parked near the Delhi Public School campus on Kanakapura Road were gutted in an accidental fire on Wednesday evening.

According to the Fire and Emergency Services Department officials, the control room received a call around 7 p.m. Immediately, three fire tenders were rushed to the spot. Officials are yet to ascertain the cause of the mishap.

A security guard deputed on the premises informed the fire control room. It took nearly 40 minutes to extinguish the fire. No one from the school has come forward to lodge a complaint.
