The Koramangala police have busted a ganja supply and peddling ring in the city and seized 102.2 kg of ganja worth ₹40 lakh.

According to the police, two of the arrested gang members, Shivaram, 41 and Murthy, 25, who hail from Chamarajanagar, along with another absconding accused, Shanmukha, bought ganja from forested areas around Hanur and other villages at cheaper rates. They sold the drugs for a huge profit in the city, police said.

They had a gang of accomplices in the city [Ramesh, 25, Abhilash, 24, and Manjunath, 23] who have also been arrested. The trio sold the ganja in small packets in south east and eastern parts of Bengaluru.

Of the arrested, Shivaram and Murthy have been arrested earlier as well for peddling ganja. However, they had come out on bail and resumed their trade. Police said efforts are on to track down Shanmukha.
