Both the BJP and the Congress on Monday said that the deposition of Lashkar-e-Taiba operative David Headley had removed any veil that existed over Pakistan’s involvement in terror acts on the Indian soil, especially the 26/11 attacks on Mumbai.

BJP national secretary Siddharth Nath Singh said Headley’s deposition ended “Pakistan’s policy of negating the evidence that India has been periodically presenting to them on their involvement in 26/11. We hope that now Pakistan will end the charade and commit to an honest investigation.”

Former Minister of State for Home in the UPA government, R.P.N. Singh said: ““This ends all pretence of Pakistan and it now needs to take some strong steps to deal with these revelations.”
