The Advertising Club presented awards to 12 top brands in various sectors and five more winners in the special category as part of Marquees 2018 held in Mumbai recently.

Marquees 2018 recognises brands for their excellence in marketing and brand-building. The second edition of Marquees 2018 had several industry stalwarts participating in the event.

The winners in the Sector Awards category were Maruti Suzuki (Automobile), Honda Motorcycles and Scooters (Automobile), Reliance Jio (Telecom Service Provider), LG (Durables), HDFC Life (Life Insurance), State Bank of India (Banking), Paytm Mall (E-Commerce), Xiaomi (Handsets), Parle (Foods), Brooke Bond (Beverages), Surf Excel (Household care) and Colgate (Personal care).

Partho Dasgupta, CEO, BARC India, and chairman, Marquees Awards, said the awards would be a stepping stone for creating credible marketing initiatives and help better connect with the stakeholders.

The event also recognised brands that have overcome challenges. The five winners were AMFI (Breathing new life into a category), IPL (Creating a global impact), Carvaan by Saregama (Reimagining for the better), Nykaa.com (Carving out a niche) and Hotstar (Digital media property).

Vikram Sakhuja, Group CEO, media and OOH, Madison Communications, and president of the Advertising Club, said the winners had set inspiring standards.
