``We will launch a special drive to clean up the campus and at this stage, we are not contemplating action against errant sanitary contractors since the daily works could be crippled. We will also have a long-term plan for developing the infrastructure at the hospitals and think of using the services of senior revenue officials to oversee the administration of the teaching hospitals,’’ Dr. Srinivas said.
Earlier, a scuffle broke out between the YSRCP leaders and the police after the former tried to enter the room in the super specialty block where the ministers and the officials were present. After a minor altercation, the YSRCP leaders V. Radhakrishna, Lella Appireddy and Meruga Nagarjuna were allowed to go inside.
The Minister also met the parents of the newborn, Chava Lakshmi and Naga Raju, and announced a compensation of Rs.5 lakh to the family.
