Senior Congress leader and chairman of APCC linguistic minority cell Ashok Singh, (64), passed away here on Saturday.
Mr. Singh complained of chest pain in the morning and was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. He is survived by wife, four daughters and a son.
Mr. Singh joined the Congress party in 1969 after quitting his job in the Electricity Department. He served as the party’s general secretary during the presidentship of Mallikarjun and was the chairman of linguistic minority cell till his death.
