Leaders of Congress party, civil society organisations and student leaders took part in a round table organised by the Samaikyandhra JAC, Nellore district committee, to chalk out their action plan to intensify their agitation against any move to divide the State.

Congress Nellore Urban MLA M. Sridhar Krishna Reddy appealed to the political leaders and citizens to rally together, cutting across their various affiliations, and make united efforts to keep Andhra Pradesh intact without being subjected to any further division along narrow considerations. “There is an immediate need for all of us to become active now. There will be no future for the State if it is divided into pieces,” he added.

The MLA and various Congress party leaders expressed their feelings at the round table.

Congress youth leader Anam Ranga Mayuri Reddy took serious objection to the manner in which leaders of the Telangana Rashtra Samiti were instigating and hurting the sentiments of the people by making statements along regional lines.

He charged TRS president K. Chandrasekhara Rao with making needless statements against the great leaders of the country.
