Modifying its earlier order, a Delhi court on Friday allowed TERI Director-General R.K. Pachauri to visit the offices except the headquarters on Lodhi Road here and its Gurgaon branch.

Mr. Pachauri is facing investigation for allegedly sexually harassing a woman employee of TERI. The police have booked him under the IPC Sections 354, 354A and 354 D and 506. The victim continues to work at the headquarters where the alleged incident took place and stays at Gurgaon. At present, she is on leave.

Additional Sessions Judge R.K. Tripathi gave the permission, amending his March 21 order.

Granting anticipatory bail to Mr. Pachauri, Mr. Tripathi had earlier directed him not to enter the TERI premises.

The court asked him not to contact the complainant or witnesses directly or indirectly and not to leave the country without the permission of the court. These conditions will continue.

The court modified the previous order on an application by Mr. Pachauri filed through his counsel Ramesh Gupta.

Mr. Gupta submitted that it had been four months since he was debarred from entering the premises. He could not be prevented from working at his office for an indefinite period if the investigating agency had not recorded statements of the witnesses in the case, Mr. Gupta submitted.
