Alleging that the Joint Parliamentary Committee report on spectrum allocation was “more political than parliamentarian,” the DMK on Thursday urged Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar to direct JPC Chairman P.C. Chacko to resubmit it after including the former Telecom Minister, A. Raja’s statement.

The party’s T.R. Baalu, who was a member of the JPC, in his letter to Ms. Kumar accused the Chairman of playing a “partisan and political role.”

Mr. Baalu expressed shock that the final report did not include his full note of dissent, which contained Mr. Raja’s full statement as well. Also, the DMK MP said, the JPC Chairman breached his assurance to Mr. Raja that his submissions would be made part of the final report.
